Who is Mackenzie

Mackenzie was born and raised in Canada and grew up a professional dancer, where she discovered her passion for working in sports.

She attended Bishop’s University, where she received her undergraduate degree in Sports Management with a minor in Communication and Digital Content. During her time at Bishop’s, Mackenzie founded a performance team, a competitive dance team that also performed at sporting events. She was also involved in the athletic department as a social media consultant and in-game host.

Her passion for hosting then led her to work for the Ottawa Titans, a Minor League MLB Associate team in the Frontier League.

Mackenzie is currently still a host as she attends Northeastern University, where she is completing her Master’s degree in Sports Leadership with a concentration on Professional sports. She covers D1 Men’s Hockey and Basketball.

In between her semesters at Northeastern, Mackenzie utilized her time to gain further experience in the sports industry. She had the incredible opportunity of joining the Canadian Grand Prix as a Paddock Operations Supervisor for Formula 1, where she grew her knowledge in the Motorsports industry, which she hopes to get a chance to cover one day.

Her Canadian roots and attachment to Hockey led her to complete an internship with the Nashville Predators as a corporate partnership intern. Her experience acquiring sponsors for her University dance team and her schooling aided her in excelling in this work avenue.

Needless to say, Mackenzie is eager to grow in professional sports and become a leader in this industry.
